The Studies of Society and the Environment (Humanities) at Berengarra School is a study of the physical and human environments and the interactions between them. It closely looks at how humans are affected by the natural environment and our effect upon it. It also looks at the development of different cultures and the formation of civilisation, looking back at our history and the key events that have shaped our world.
Discussing and exploring of their local neighbourhood and community through to National and International aspects of the world they live in. The major focus is on developing broad knowledge, skills and values strengthening their ability to become active, responsible citizens. Developing a sense of place derived from an understanding of geographical, historical and social perspectives will also prepare them for life in a global community.
